Halo 3 - Vidoc: Cinema Paradiso

Published 21 September, 2007 Duration 7:29

Halo 3 is so very, very close. We can taste it. It tastes good. Like chocolate and cherries and laser death. We're like a balloon, close to bursting, yet Bungie keeping blowing excitement into our rubbery necks with videos like this until we pop.

I am so bored of Halo now.

They spend 10 minutes talking about the fact that they've now got a camera system. My god. How revolutionary, you can Fly Around! And the triggers make you go faster!!

Even the developers seem like fratboys.

Are these the real dev's?! Wow.

Anyway, ragdolls very rarely look cool. More often that not it looks stupid, and you laugh the first time, then the 1000th time, meh.

    Cinema Paradiso

    Sacrilege.

video editing looks pretty cool, but they don't seem to mention watching through another players eyes in 1st person.

    Forge - hmmmm dunno yet

I think it's a shame all these 'cool' features are geared around mutiplayer only. I'm not sure what they could have done... but I would have liked to see something that isn't going to be dominated by 12 year old American's claiming to be better then everyone ever.

So none of you really watched the movie? Some kind of bot program spewing random Halo comments?
  • famous_roy #7 5 years ago

Looks fooking rad to say the least. Absolutely can't wait.

Check out the video at 6.55, they're playing baseball with a rocket launcher and a gravity hammer... quality!

Looks like a good feature, although it is a shame that it seems to be geared toward the multiplayer only.

More games should do this. Driver pretty much perfected it eight years ago, and it could work with so many types of game.

Surely the cocksuckers that are ''so bored of Halo now'' shouldn't actually be watching an 8 minute video based on said game, and then waste even more time commenting on it :/
I tried Forge today in work, it's fooking fiddly initially, but when you get the hang of it the possibilities really open up, seems like a really effing cool feature to me.
Saved films whilst in Campaign on the other hand seems like a bit of a let down, as you can't make custom clips.
  • Dan_Dare #12 5 years ago

    that looks ridiculous. fuckin a.
  • espy #13 5 years ago

Brilliant. These people really know what they're doing :D And they're absolutely right, if I did something like at 4:06 in the video I'd _want_ to look at it over and over, show it to people and laugh about the awesomeness. Long overdue development, really.

M83J01P97: all these features work in all modes, including campaign and coop.

Lol @ the haters storming in to say how tired they are of halo. If only they could imagine how tired the rest of us are of them.
  • Xerx3s #16 5 years ago

I like the part where the guy just whacks a vehicle & rocket away.
  • rymdimperiet #17 5 years ago

Recording demos? Yeah, I remember that from Doom II.
    The Forge looks nice though.
  • Shrui #18 5 years ago

This stuff is cool but not exactly original, it's been around in other games now for a long time.

Replay is very nice for analysing what your team did wrong in the last fight but my concern is that instead of people learning how to become good at the game they will just copy the good players.

The forge system is cool though, can see a good online community coming out of that.

Been trying to avoid the Halo hype but dammit I'm getting tempted!

Some of those cool features have been in PC FPS games for years now.

    Welcome to 2004 Bungie.
  • captainrentboy #20 5 years ago

Yes maybe some features, but not all, and not with such a rediculously easy control system, and not all connected to massive online media storage/stat servers in the way Bungie's is with their Bungie.net system.
And it certainly hasn't been done like this on a console before.
For non pc gamers (me) this is effing cool stuff.
  • huxathon #21 5 years ago

Just imagine what you could do when they port this to pc.
  • NiCk-D-2K6 #22 5 years ago

notice how the people that are 'bored' of halo are always one of the 1st to comment.

cant you just stop and realise how awesome this game will be. if you dont want to hear about it why even go onto a gaming website, cos to be fair, this is all i want to hear about. dunno about u
