Halo 3: ODST - new trailer

In case you didn't get enough ODST action on Friday, here's a trailer they didn't bother to give us in advance, or warn us about, or anything. Finish the PR strategy.

    Im gonna get slated for this, but thats looking more and more generic all the time, personally will be giving this one a miss.

    This is the third site I've been to that has posted this trailer as new. Copypasta? It's been on marketplace since the E3 reveal. You just interviewed Bungie... were you listening?

    Bungie must be fans of Firefly as 3 of the ODST's are voiced by Mal, Jayne and Wash from Firefly.

    And you guys (being the heartless cruel bastards that you are) bury the poor fuckers attempts at human contact within seconds.

    BTW this trailer has been on the Bungie site for a while now. For shame EG.

    Let's change EuroGamer to HaloGamer. Search for Halo on the main page and you'll get 11 (!) hits.

    I dunno. Its not like I'm not connected to games. This one just didn't appear on my radar until very recently. Maybe if I did see something about it I confused it with the RTS and thought it was nothing new...

    So on the basis that the trailer uses some similar direction techniques, you think the gameplay itself will also be similar.


    I suppose you thought that Shindler's list was very much like Sin City too, on account of them both being in black and white?

    Looks excellent.

    Halo is obviously a big release, hence the reasonably heavy coverage over the last couple of days. Simples. You can get bitter about it if you wish, or you can just say "ok it's not my kettle of fish... ill look at something else"

    Just when I thought the posts on this website had improve, out come a bunch of Halo trolls.

    I'm really looking forward to this game, yes, they're not the best graphics in the world but this is an *expansion*. For those saying it's generic, uninspired, etc.. what are you watching? I love the Halo mythos, and this looks like a completely different take on both the characters and gameplay.

    Seeing things from the perspective of an ODST, I think is great.. I always loved those guys, so it's nice to be able to find out more about them.. They're also a lot more human than MC, we even get to see them withour their helmets, all ineracting as people, that's not really something we've seen much of in Halo, it seems to be VERY character based..

    The gameplay is also open ended now, you're free to explore the city and have to find clues about your missing team mates, you then get to play as them, use their unique abilities and traits, etc and find out more about them.

    I know the random Halo bashing is never going to go away, but come on.. At least do some research before making yourselves look like fools.

    I think it's nice to see them doing something a little different with the mystery thing going on. They're sticking to what they know (Tactical FPS) but adding something fresh to the mix.

    Have to say though, this has been up on Live a while now.
