Guild Wars: Eye of the North - Trailer

Published 7 June, 2007 Duration 3:05

This is the last planned expansion for Guild Wars before Guild Wars 2 is released. It's far from a stop-gap however, with a wealth of new content to be enjoyed.

Actually, it's the first and last expansion to the Guild Wars franchise as this one actually requires that you own one of the other Guild Wars games to play it.

I'm liking the new art direction. I love how each game is distinctly different in that respect.

What about Nightfall and Factions? Hmmm?

What about them? They were standalone games.

I really want to care about guild wars again.. unfortunately i just got tired with similar gameplay and although a very pretty world, a somehow unbelievable one. The cities and areas lack the love shown to WoW's deep zones....heh..heheheh...

Own all the current games in collector's edition. Not sure about this one.

Yea, I can see your point of view from a PvE perspective. But PvP wise the Guild Wars series are unmatched imo. I'll keep playing till I get my rank 12. hehe.

From what they've announced of Guild Wars 2 so far it sounds like it's going to cater to what PvE'rs want a lot more.

yeah pvp-wise Guild Wars is far superior to WoW, although the pve in guild wars is boring and apparently this expansion is mostly pve.

Guild Wars 2 looks like they're going to make it more of an mmo. cities with large scale battles / encounters. The current game is too heavily instanced and nobody stays in cities any longer than they have to, and why risk a pug when you can easily hench 99% of the missions?

Nightfall was quite fun for pve i thought, and yeah, I did solo most of it.
