    Why do all the games I want end up being MMO?

    Never going to do that - just never. Wish they had a single player mission as well or something.

    GW has no subscription fee and NPCs en masse - you can play it by yourself if you so desire.

    it looks amazing and wonderfully original not like some mmo's.
    Yeah and Gurrah is totally right - you can play it like a single player game that happens to need net connection - still is alot of fun with other people too.
    And if it's like The first two it'll have a great storyline too.

    Yeah Perry sounds like you really ought to try Guild Wars out. Remember, no subscription and you don't even need mates! GW is a great game :)

    This looks a lot better than I expected, theme somehow interests me more than that of Factions.

    the pve side of guild wars is a bit crap to be honest. It's the pvp side where it really shines, although ideally there you do need to be in an active guild so you can GvG, go to Heroe's Ascent etc.. Although you can still go to the arenas on your own, which is a lot of fun.
