This looks amazing but we knew that already. lets hope they remove the stale bits from the game (no taxi rides to replay a mission, better aiming system, decent save system) and somehow improved the car handling and physics.

Really Great.

When a 1 minute clip leaves you somehow knowing the smell of New York harbor, the hot dog stands, the fumes, the stench, then you realize just how good these Rockstar guys are, and that this game just might be art.

I wanna play this masterpiece, heck I wanna get it on wit' it.

Avaloner I think your missing the point thiss games being made with the new rage engine all those elements will have been changed.

I thought the vid was ok i wanted to see some of the gameplay or the character animations. Nevermind

Not necessarily. What I mentioned (except the car handling and physics) are not dependent on the engine and are gameplay elements. From the trailers I cannot say if they have removed or altered them. We will have to wait, hope and see.

Lol - the story behind this game is that NYs population has been stolen, and you have to set up an underground criminal empire to get them back!

What a great walk, it's a pity the mocap didn't extend to facial animation. Maybe they should trade with Quantic Dream and swap their pimp roll for QD's facial system.

We might have seen gameplay such as when the cops were chasing him on the streets, since there's no HUD shown (and there won't be one in the game, apparently) there's no way of knowing. When the bullets hit the screen and when he's hanging onto the truck/chopper, that looks like gameplay to me.

Actually a little bit meh for once. Nice enough graphics, and gameplay looks to have been sharpened up. Maybe just a late case of next (current) gen apathy.

Still, that's no excuse for shoddy jumping animations is it....

Gotta agree that the game is looking great... the graphics aren't the best I've seen on the 360 but given the size and freeform nature of the game that is to be expected. They're still excellent though with great artwork and plenty of detail, certainly gives Saints Row a run for its money. Look forward to seeing more of the game in the run up to its October launch. All I need to know now is which version to go for: Xbox 360 or PS3 then I can pre-order!

Same game, better graphics. Think it'll be a been-there-done-that high quality but short experience. And it being short might actually be a good thing. Got bored to death with SA around the time you got the airport and never bothered to play the game again.

Cawley1 -> In the future we might actually see a Grand Theft Auto game on Wii. According to an article, wich I can't be bothered to look for right now, Nintendo has indeed been negotiating with Rockstar.. But then again, we don't know what they are plotting together, and I am aware that GTA IV would not be able to run on Wii with that kind of graphics.. Maybe a less detailed version or an older update?

Dunno why, but that one shot of the helicopter was the best bit for me.
Looks okay, frame rate a bit choppy in places, but I assume that'll be ironed out come release.
Not that it concerns me, I don't own a PS3 or a 360. And a new GTA isn't gonna change that.

They haven't finished it yet is what. From what I hear, the likes of performance in GTAs is very ropey right up until the last big push before they ship. Still, they've never failed to bring it up to scratch, even on PS2.

It's actually really quite early for GTA to be publicising itself with video footage. I wonder if this is Take 2 trying to salvage its share price after the Manhunt debacle.

As far as the actual trailer goes, it certainly all looks nice, but it seemed to be all cutscene to me, except probably the bits where he's just walking down the street. Nothing obviously excitingly new in terms of gameplay, but then no specific evidence that it'll be same-old, same-old either since they didn't show it.

I'm worried that accent will grate on me.
