GRAW 2 - PS3 SIXAXIS controls

Published 20 August, 2007 Duration 0:49

A brief selection of moves which will be directly performed by a swift jerk of the SIXAXIS controller. Tumble Mitchell this way or that at a whim! Just don't sneeze.

    That is just plain silly.

You can do the same with a button much quicker.

Couldn't agree more. I don't think I've ever seen such a gimmicky and tacked-on feature in a game before. Utterly pointless.

And they chose this over rumble........oh sony how you've let us down! Trading in Resistance and Motorstorm on Friday for Bioshock on the 360.....Every day i wonder why i bought a PS3 :o( Now i'll have a PS3 with no games!!

Oh yea and i finished GRAW 2 aaggggeessss ago!! Yawn...

yes because rumble makes you control the game differently.

Didn't immersion have a lawsuit against them at the time doubt they "chose" one over the other.

I've seen worse implementations of the SIXAXIS TBH. It might not be a major advance but motion gestures allow for more moves in games than a standard controller with a limited number of buttons can provide which can add to gameplay eventually. Though multi platform games will probably not be the ones that’ll make the most of it.

As for the rumble, it would of course be better if it was included in the controller. Personally, I couldn’t care less for it: there are few (if any) games that use it in a way that adds to the gameplay let alone to the level of immersion. But given that it has developed into a mainstream controller feature, I’m probably the only one… ;)

This does look wank. It seems a really poor use of the Sixaxis, however I won't stamp my judgement in stone until I get the chance to try it proper-like.

Really shit music in that trailer, though.

TheGrandChappo, yeah i know the pain. i have had a PS3 with no games for about 3 months now, and every time i walk past it i wonder why i bothered...

all i can console (hah) myself with is the though of another ICO/Colossus or that stickman game...

..and thats just sad for what this thing cost.
