    Genius I would say.

At least R* are showing their engine/story telling skillz in an interesting way rather than a stupid over the top EXPLOSIVE trailer...although I do think thats what the masses seem to want.

Something seems up with the way these ads are done... the humor was ok in the other games but this just sounds awefull it cant be the same people doing them... maybe the ads are handled by someone else now and the ones in the game are being saved?

    um, riiight, ok...!

can we have some a-c-t-u-a-l g-a-m-e-p-l-a-y videos now...?

    cheers...

Hardly the most incisive bit of satire, and the graphics don;t look that great either.
  • Skooch #7 4 years ago

Cheesy humour, and very obvious. Not as quirky as what I have come to expect from R*...

There seems to be worringly few people on-screen in these trailers compared to something like Crackdown - hope they don't feel like a ghost city.

Although I can;t be arsed to complain about it really as I know I will buy it, so don't want to appear a hypocrite. If I enjoy it half as much as crackdown it will have been worth a purchase - although I am sure I'll miss being able to leap all around the city.

Hm.. why is it that every video I've seen from GTAIV (where it's made with the game engine) looks like it's having horrible frame-rate problems? Check out the part where the policeman stands in front of a bunch of cars and a collision. Horrible looking.

rockstar's unique brand of subtle satire, hammered into you with a slegehammer
  • Orange #11 4 years ago

This definitely doesn't feel like the humour in the previous games, sledgehammer is putting it mildly.

I've not been impressed with the trailers so far, although hopefully they are the work of marketing people and the actual ingame humour will still be the Hauser/Lazlow sharp and subtle approach.

can we have a proper trailer for gta 5 now!?
ffs in the time it has taken R* to make all these stupid little videos they could have made a decent trailer of the game.
    sort it out R*.

terrible frame rate :/ someone ought to be arrested
  • Triggerhappytel #14 4 years ago

Well, I quite liked that. Good ol' GTA, the competitors just don't have that same humour and quirkyness.
  • AHiFi #15 4 years ago

Orange - Couldn't agree more. I hope this is just marketing humour. This most certainly is not the humour I've come to expect from GTA. These videos have been okay, at best.

Eh, I like it. The GTA series' humor comes from a wide spectrum, so there's probably more to it than just this. With that said, I enjoyed this little trailer.
