@makeamazing Nonsense! San Andreas was brilliant at doing what it was intended to do... let's not forget it was a PS2 game. It might not have had the best textures or frame rate but the overall effect was a tangible place and evokes exactly the same sense of being there as this new, shinier Los Santos.

An interesting comment! Not having a pop at anyone, but this reminds me that some of the people complaining that GTA5 doesn't look much different to GTA4 perhaps need to go and take another look at the previous game (I'm late to the party and currently playing TBOGT). In some ways the new trailer shows as big a difference as GTA4 did to San Andreas.

It was clear they were paying back to San Andreas but that's pretty incredible. I still think the old GTA engines look brilliant, in their own previous-gen way. Nice one whoever put that together.

Yes and no I think, I just finished 3 and it still beautiful and amazingly detailed and slick. That's on PC though on the old PS2, while I myself haven't played it in years, I have heard people saying it is starting to show it's age. Some are calling for HD remakes.

Why enjoyed a fair amount of GTA IV, I did find it a drag to finish! The reason is you simply ended up doing repetitive missions that evolved Killing or Delivering safely - that's all!!!...this made the game boring are tiresome around halfway mark. I also found this with Assassin Creed, hardly any different missions and all required was using the few same techniques to complete missions; making the game a stretch and a drag.

I hope GTA V will have more variety, esp if over 5rs gameplay time.

For some reason the trailer (especially the old graphics) made me think of GTA III.

How great it was to experience that transformation in the GTA series from 2D to full 3D for the first time. Great times they were and it seems like it was a lifetime ago. :/

I wonder how much of the code of Midnight Club: LA will be reused in GTA V? That game has great wheel support - so much fun to race on and off the freeways - I hope they keep some of that along with the car customisation. Also, looking forward to doing some bank heists.

The city looks like the most believable of any game so far.. just full of life and little touches and seemingly on a more believable scale, all previous GTA games felt a wee bit crammed in... For the record San Andreas was by far my favourite GTA game so brought into the modern era I look forward to this more than anything by far. Might actually take time off work for it cos I don't want to start playing, get tired and then lose track the way I do with most games these days... Want to get immersed in this like I'm a kid during Xmas holidays again

@makeamazing 7 years apart, 8 by the time this game is released. I think it's a relative difference. Ppl seem to forget, san andreas was made on xbox1/ps2, the former console which launched a decade ago.
