Looks much better than the first vid they released. At least now the car doesn't look disconnected from the backgrounds. It does look great though, almost photorealistic, though I'm not one for realistic racers like this.

Well.... yeah... it's nice, I guess. It's clean. No dust/particle effects, though? Perhaps too polished, needs to be a bit grittier. Yet, people in the crowd still have that clay-like structure to them, as like characters in Virtua Tennis 3 and CoD games, i.e. bump-mapping to the extreme with too high a contrast in shadows. Argue all you want about technicalities, but art direction and execution should take priority.

Also, I hope they have as many cars as GT2. I miss my '98 Nissan Primera 2.0 GT. =(

This has come a long way in a few weeks. While the car models looked staggeringly good, as Jedi says, they looked added in. Now they look planted firmly on the road, with proper light effects and reflections in place. There's still months to go, so I expect this to wow as much as GT3 did back when that was launched.

A little restraint in selecting a few cars and tracks for download should help keep this in sensible money.

"still not buying sony yet tho."

I know they've had their troubles lately, but I don't think they're selling the company just yet :)

Was it just me or did the sound effect REALLY suck?
