    I don't know, I agree with Darkedge, I really miss those soulful menu screens of old.

    "New Game"
    "Load Game"
    "Options"

    Stirring stuff.

    And who can forget classic selection screens like...

    "Auto"
    "Manual"

    I'd just switch between the two for hours, weeping at the elegance and emotional power of watching first one word go from dark yellow to light yellow, then back to dark yellow as the other one became light yellow, accompanied by a trill and melodic chime. Switching at different paces you could make a percussive tune, and the words themselves became like disco lights, with their light and dark yellow flashing.

    Back then you really felt you were.... selecting something, you know?

    Happy days.
