Looks pretty nice, but does anyone think that it looks like it's running slowly on the PC's they recorded it on?

Looks a bit like if Oblivion was good ;D

Seriously, aren't those more or less the exact same text lines that they had in the oblivion trailer?

"A kingdom will fall" "a hero will rise" and all that bullshit?

Pah, the generic storyline is secondary. Gothic rocks. :)
  • StixxUK #4 6 years ago

Yeah but wouldn't it be nice if they actually tried something good in the story respect?

Actually, I think it doesn't really matter. The main story lines in G1 and G2 were pretty standard stuff, but the different factions and their motivations were all very cleverly done, as was the social interaction with the NPCs. I'd go so far and say the story needs to be in the background to make these elements shine - similarly like in Half-Life, or Fallout, whose stories, written on a piece of paper, really wouldn't look very good. :)

Aye, looks good but I hope it was just a slow PC - otherwise, that's some shonky animation.

This game will be sooo awesome. Gothic 1 and 2 is the most underrated action/adventure/rpg games ever. The atmosphere should be awesome, I surely can't wait for this game.

this would be a perfect title for Wii. thrust forward with the joystick and plunge the sword(the Yin part of the nunchuk), then immediately withdraw with a 360 turn, slashing the monster who was preparing to hit from behind...

I got about half way through this before I lost all interest and went and watched the Rayman trailer. Again. Piranha really need to pep this presentation up a bit. Very dull. All it seems to be saying is 'Hey, this game will be the same as countless others!' Judging by the support the first two outings have had, this may not be the case. Bad trailer! Bad! Go to your basket!

Nice graphics but it's got the worst framerate of any trailer I've ever seen.
