......So let me see if I get this right. Aside from some nice lighting effects, it's exactly the same as God Of War 1 and 2. In fact riding the cyclops seemed pretty boring and the combat is exactly the same (even down to the quicktime events).

This is definitely off my must get list now. I just know that there will inevitably be a repeat of the Zeus fight random quicktime button nonsense thrown in somewhere.

Making a snap judgement based on less than a minute's worth of pre-alpha code is a bit premature, no?

    Damn, tough crowd lol.

    Welcome to Eurogamer.

I don't think it's special to Eurogamer, it's just how forums/comments on the internet work. It's either hyped through the roof or shitty as hell, even if noone got his/her hands on the product even in pre-pre-pre-alpha status.

I've got to admit that did look horribly underwhelming. This may of course be due to the fact that 1&2 were so impressive on the creaky old PS2.

Or due to the fact that it was shot with an extremely low resolution cell phone camera, making it impossible to spot any details whatsoever. I've no doubt that GoW3 will deliver a spectacular audio-visual experience. Let's see how it's gameplay will be...

God of War 1 and 2 were awesome so I'm happy for your more of the same with sweet current gen visuals and audio myself. Can't wait.

Oh God when will we see the day that game producers really put a lot of effort into making animations fluid? In 200-fucking-9 there's still choppy character turning to sides and sudden transitions between character's animations.

I have to admit I got the same thing with better graphics vibe too.

Yes, let's equate footage captured on (most probably) a cell-phone camera to high-definition visuals output on an HD TV and slate the game as having crappy visuals, shall we?

I love gow 1 and 2, but they really chose some boring footage to show at GDC. When devs show < 1 min long previews they want people to make snap judgements. What other kind of judgement can you make? The point is that they are supposed to leave a good impression. Also, don't know why people are dwelling on the graphics. They will be awesome even if you have no imagination.
