I actually agree with this. I mean, I'm a big defender of violence in video games in accordance with the age rating system, but this advert is drawing a direct link between a young teenage girl and some sort of 'comedy strangulation simulator'. Well, that's what the Daily Mail would probably call it.

I know that it is intended as a joke, and there's a good chance I should probably just lighten up and laugh along with it, but there's just no context here!

This whole Kinect operation is a catastrophe. I will never ever buy it because Microsoft did not deliver one single game that justifies the purchase price so far...for the next xbox, please let's focus on great games alright? I don't want to interact with the hardware, I want to use the hardware like an extension of my body so that I can solely focus on the game. Is that so hard to understand?

Just by reading most of the comments of this thread, this commercial will be a absolute hit. One thing I have noticed is when the hardcore hate something casual it becomes a bit hit.

Personally I actually thought it was funny. The Kinect in my home does not get any play from myself but my 3 and 5 year old love it. My Wife loves dance Central and my older son Loves Kinect Sports. So as a device for my family, its a hit, for myself it is not but then again everthing does not have to be created just for me.
