Need 2 votes!

Spore has been sitting quietly on the back burner for some time now, simmering away since Will 'I made EA enough money to buy the moon' Wright announced it at E3 2005. This new video shows some of the progress the team has made.

Didn't know evolution required an editor. Would love to have a look at God's editor, must be awesome.

Designing your own vehicles and ships is cool - its definitely looking better as time goes on. Still can't imagine this on the DS though!

this game is more "intelligent design" than evolution, as you are the intelligent designer ;)

Are games developers getting better looking, better presented, or do they only let the normal looking ones near the camera?

Where are the fat beardy men of yesteryear!

This has been interesting for years now, but they never seem to be able to actually finish it and release it. It's getting that DNF tinge, except they haven't released any footage from DNF as far as I know...

Err, I was just thinking how they all looked bizarre and whether anyone normal looking was allowed to work on the game...l

I'm sure people won't like me for saying this, but I find myself distinctly unimpressed at this stage. I will keep watching though.

Love the idea, wish it didn't look so cute and cuddly. I want spiny ravening creatures of nightmare, not plasticine children's TV escapees.

Still hoping that this will be fun and objective based rather than just a sandbox game

Still not convinced.
I think it will suffer the same setbacks as all these styles of games do.

I think it will lose cohesion by the time you conquer your own planet.

I hope I am wrong though.

I can't wait for this,
as for the graphics, a little to cutesy maybe but this mainly being aimed at the current sims players.
Will be intersting to see if it lets you jump in at different stages of evolution rather then always starting from the beginning.
But then if it's as big as they are suggesting you could still be playing the same game 6months to a year after starting
