Forza 2 - Gameplay

Published 8 May, 2007 Duration 6:40

We've got two Forza treats for you in one high-octane chunk here: the game's slick intro and a section of gameplay. A serious amount of virtual Turtle wax has gone into these movies so make sure you appreciate their crispy sheen.

not only boring but game looks dire.

OK, I really want to like this game.. but movies like these don't help. Good looking car models, but the track? It looks so horribly generic. My fear of me having problems going back to confined race tracks after playing Test Drive Unlimited may turn out true after all.

These game replays seem to be missing the important live feature of idiots driving around the track the wrong way, parking on the finish line etc.

That aside though, it still looks to be as boring as the last game IMO.

    Happy times..!

A classic parable of racing game AI. The silver Subaru that was clearly the player car manages to maintain the lead until the last lap, wherupon the red Mazda, obviously an AI car, suddenly finds the "ZOOOOOM" button and takes off into the wide blue yonder.

All i see is a close up of three cars, boring, plus its only like 1:20secs long, yet to the right it says 6'40".

Are all the tracks modelled on real racing circuits?

Real racing tracks have to be boring places because of safety issues - to replicate that in a game seems a bit pointless to me.

With Forza, Turn 10 barely scraped better graphics than GT by running at half the frame rate on a machine with twice the power, now they have no power advantage the chasm in talent between them and Polyphony Digital is really showing.

Christ, what a load of dolts...

There is gameplay footage, just wait until the first video is done.

Yes, the track looks boring because it is modeled of a real (boring) racing track. No, Turn 10 won't make it more fun because Forza Motorsport is a sim-u-la-tion. As in "a depiction of real life."

And who cares what the track looks like as long as it's fun to drive on?

Want fun and arcadey? Go play Burnout or Rallisport Challenge.
