Microsoft's capacious sleeves turned out to be concealing quite a lot of tricks last night, but the biggest was probably its signing of FFXIII for 360. Ante up.

    With Lost Odyssey coming on four discs, do you think you'll have to change discs every time to summon an Aeon in FFXIII? :D

    looks amazing! i'm just a bit worried that its a bit over the top, I mean there isn't much subtlety to it and I think the art direction clashes a bit.

    But hey cant wait!

    What was EVER "subtle" about the FF games? They are all intentionally silly melodramas (and often good ones at that). There's not SUPPOSED to be any subtlety at all, that's the whole POINT...

    A Final Fantasy game is like a message board post with a lot of CAPITAL LETTERS; it may not be subtle, but you GET THE MESSAGE. ;)

    "can never tell if the characters are boys or girls", thats japanese character design for you....non-gender-specific.....but honestly just look at any anime...theres always one.

    I just thought that the art direction doesn't gel very well, it looks like everything belongs in a different universe.

    What I meant by "over the top" was that everything has been over stylised to the point where nothing fits together. Yeah you could say this about parts of the previous titles but at leasts everything was fairly consistant in its stylisation.

    But I havent played the game yet so Im just basing this opinion on what I can see in the trailer.
