Need 3 votes!

F.E.A.R. left a lot of people pretty damp in the pants area, for various reasons. As it's now coming to the PS3 with a few extra bells and whistles we thought we'd get you the lowdown.

FEAR, coming soon to mobiles and etchasketch! Perhaps monolith should simply make more of it, rather than recycling it again and again.

"exclusive instant action"! is that the same instant action on the 360? i think so.

F.E.A.R will stun you with its bland textures, monotonous repetetive corridor levels, and now non-existant new content for the ps3!

I just noticed a NPC knock over some shelving to block a corridor and (presumably) create cover. Is that a scripted event or an example of the much-praised AI?

Either way, nice touch.

it's stuff the AI can do, semi scripted, but those shelves are damn resistant to any actions the player may try on them :/ Still an awesome game though (on PC).

I loved it on PC. Dull textures? I didn't think so...awesome lighting and atmospheric effects? Definately. I guess I didn't even notice the 'dull corridor' shooter aspect as I was to busy slow-mo kicking a grunt in the face and shooting his mate in half before I touched the ground.

Didn't bother with it on the 360 though.

>Dull textures?

I think they are referring to the sub-par PS3 version.

To be fair, I didn't play it on the Xbox and was running it on a fairly powerful PC (at the time) so I cannot comment on the textures of the PS3 and Xbox360 version...they don't look that bad though.

So what's this extra content then? Any ideas?!

The extra content for the PS3 is exactly the same extra content that the 360 version had, namely: an instant action mode and 16 player online.

As far as I can tell the two versions will be nigh on identical.
