Need 2 votes!

The shiny savannah of Far Cry 2 is a fully realised ecosystem, with those procedural skies that Attenborough is always on about.

Great technology, but rather a dull video TBH. I think there will be an immense amount of fun to be had just burning shit and watching how it reacts. I wonder if wooden buildings burn?

I reason why I like to watch things is because it stimulates my eyes and then transfers the information to my brain.

Nice HDR.

One really geeky point. Surely fire propagation should be fire conflagration?

i remember the original farcry techdemo having weather effects like rain, but it didn't get included in the game that time. Looks all right though.

I wanted the player to burn down that hut too.
I'd like to see the games limits

damn fire, i will need an upgrade too. i think they need to work on how the trees move to the wind, simply because near the begining of the demo they were a bit jearky and quick they wern't at all moving like a tree would react to wind.

CHAOS BROON: the trees aren't jerky - they're accelerated. Large parts of this demo are, to show off the weather system and stuff.

After watching that and the rate the fire spreads and the density of foliage - it seems if you simply set a fire going (like the one on show) and then stand still - most of the game-world should have been incinerated by the time you finish your tea!

superb, Im so glad they sorted the David Attenborough licence out in the end. Playing him as a crazed zoologist against the hordes of poachers sounds fantasic!
(iron-sights on a flamethrower? whuts the point?)
