The PS3 version isn't too far behind the PC version, judging by this video. The PC version has more detail and better anti-aliasing, and according the Eurogamer's comparison the PS3 has much more screen tearing and a poorer frame rate. Nevertheless, it's nice to see that gamers of any platfrom are essentially going to have a very similar experience. Good job, Ubisoft.

I only have a PS3 and 360, though, so I will be getting the 360 version, since it has more detail, less screen tearing and a better frame rate. The smoother shadows of the PS3 version don't make up for all of the technical advantages the 360 version has.

PC looks slightly better but the PS3 holds up VERY well to the PC version

Unfortunately the low rez video doesn't do the PC version justice, the difference is visual quality between the platforms is huge at least on higher end machines.

I played on a 50 lcd tv with a 4870 card/quadcore machine under DX10.1 When we hooked up my buddies PS3 the poor quality shadows and less defined textures really stood out.

That said I've also seen it played on a 22 monitor with a last gen card under DX9 and its quite similar to the PS3, what a difference a year and a couple of hundred dollars makes.

I really didn't notice too many frame drops or tearing on the sony certainly not enough to make it any less an enjoyable experience. If not for lack of affordable HD space I would grab one tomorrow just for the exclusives.

There are huge diferences when running games for comparison with PC and console in mind. I have this on the PC and when running at 1680 X 1050 on all high settings on my PC monitor it looks amazing, having said that it's not the best looking game on the PC by far. However when I run it thru my 1080p using HDMI cables from the PC and PS3 tv apart from the shadows issue both versions look very similar and the detail difference you see when running side by side is minimal. I would say that To get the exact match I have to drop it down to DX9 and put all settings on medium, in order to get the graphical tearing on the PS3 i have to squirt water into my graphics card!! Altho the graphics card I bought cost's more than a PS3 and Game combined!!! That really is the real comparitive issue.
    Cheers ;)
