    LOL - I agree

    If I'm interested in the game I'll buy and so want to avoid seeing the first 15 mins until I'm in the actual game. If I'm not interested in the game then I clearly won't watch the first 15 mins

    What a pointless comment. If you don't like the content provided on the site... why visit it?

    Seems I am.

    Is this the console version? cos that tearing and stuttering better not be in the PC version.

    If you have a slight interest in a game, would it not be helpful to see it in action? ... it beats 'tarted up' / CGI trailers. After all, you're not going to get any spoilers coming out in the first 15 minutes.

    @dave on

    perhaps it's just the encoding of the video?

    This is what annoyed me about the game. I wanted a menu and the ability to quick start a race, having to go through what this bitch agent says (unskippable BTW) and actually getting started with the game takes too long. Not just that, but the complex nature of the menus means loading times are WAY too long. It's basically how to not do a GUI.

    Robson Green is your race engineer?

    Amazing
  • mad_caddy #10 2 years ago

    ffs, well done for making it look like a game of bumper cars.

    This video was actually very informative. This guy was driving really badly. How come other cars weren't streaming past him? Even if it's the lowest difficulty, his objective was only to not be the slowest car out there, so there should have been lots of faster cars out. And it was a practice session - the other drivers should have spread themselves out, found some space to put in good lap times but instead they were driving like it was a race. Looks like they ran out of time for AI. Much as I love F1, I think I'll hold out for GT5 and pick this up when it's cheap.

    That camera angle does the game no favours whatsoever.

    At least use the above the drivers head camera. Any racing game look poor from behind the car IMO
  • kwesleyb #14 2 years ago

    That is possibly the worst driving ever. How can you upload this poor attempt at driving on your own website?
    If this gets passed around to advertise the site, others will think the Eurogamer staff simply cant play games.

    After Dirt 2 this game is surely a disappointment to codies. Very poor graphics also the handling is lifted straight from Grid, i don't know what its like to play with a game pad but its dreadful with a driving force gt.
  • gnrlstuart #16 2 years ago

    i hate codies chosen lighting for the game, it's bland and depressing in my opinion, same as grid.

    Glad I've seen this now, makes my skepticism well placed. The initial trailers and talking heads videos gave me hope this would be something approaching a sim, but it seems like the usual crap racing game catering to the casual arcade racer and only them. Where's Geoff Crammond when you need him.

    And also, the lighting is so dull. I know it's over-cast but still, it's not realistic, it's very much tint-heavy, nothing realistic about this lighting at all, they're trying too hard to make it look edgy or something. Bring me GT5 now, with brilliant lighting, brilliant physics, and AI that no matter what will be better than this.

    Maybe they suck at games...because they actually have to work?
  • espibara #19 2 years ago

    @Billy323

    The graphics look drab because the track conditions are overcast.

    As for the handling it has enough customisation options to make it as easy or as punishing as you like. I think the handling is spot on esp with pro settings
