Now that a few recent hand-on reports (from people who play racing games like they were supposed to be played, and not more or less disinterested reviewers using gamepads and driving aids) - and lots of new video footage - have alleviated most of my fears about handling, AI and other gameplay aspects, this game almost can't be anything but fantastic.

    I think I might cry if it isn't :p.

The only problem I can see is that the front wing on the Red Bull didn't flex enough...

The lighting in Singapore doesn't look as good as I'd hoped. The dusk to night looks good tho.

I understand the career mode has you competing not just for the race win but for lesser objectives given to you by your team. Makes me wonder if your team boss will ever ask you to deliberately crash...

    disappointed: lol, good one :D

No safety car? I could live with that as long as they bother with yellow/black flags (I don't see them putting red flag, makes sense).

@PS_2010, "After seeing all the GT5 screen shots, all other racing games fail to impress."

Sadly, after seeing GT5 screen shots, actual gameplay visuals in GT5 also fail to impress. Which is a shame.

I'd like to see the DF Face off for this game. I hope it includes the PC version.

Abu Dhabi is supposed to be a day-night race, not eternally dusk.

last F1 game I played was one of the geoff crammond thingies in the 90ies... it's about time for a new one :)

Thing that always bothers me about in-game shots from F1 games, including this one, is that the actual racing looks terrible, the racing shots show people taking terrible lines, just smashing randomly into other cars, sometimes this is to make the shots look more dramatic, but its worrying when its easy to spot which car the player is controlling...
It usually ends up that whoever set up the shots just was more interesting in making smashy than showing great maneuvers, but it just makes me worry...
Still I think this is looking great, I just hope there's enough options to let you decide how real or hard you want the game to be, rather than a couple of categories like beginner, advanced etc. Don't mind catering to different audiences if you can customise your own game to some extent

Wow....there's like zero lighting effects in the singapore night race, looks like a PS2 game.

Actual race is actually very bright. Poor graphics there.

The visuals look average in my opinion. don't know if this is going to have the same impact as something like GRID for me. I am sure that the handling will be spot-on but as for the visuals.... not sure.
