This is the first Rage footage that has me really excited for the game now.

its impressive no doubt, but just dont see much gameplay wise that gets me excited about. its going to take some stellar reviews to persuade me to part with cash on day 1

For some reason I think this is how a futuristic apocalyptic Red Dead would look.

I'm not too excited for this, but it definitely looks like a quality game.

Driving bit sounded and looked a bit poop IMO. Thankfully the gunplay, spiderbot & turrets look great fun though.

Much better than the dead city demo. The AI still looks terrible but the action/animations in this preview were a nice improvement over what we've seen previously.

I just fail to see how anyone still gets impressed with FPS's these days, from what I can see there's nothing new or revolutionary going on here, it's no better or worse than the 50 other FPS's that have come out in the past few years. The last FPS I truly enjoyed was Halo 1, yes Halo 1, oh and Bioshock until it got too RPG'y with all of the upgrades and levelling up your weapons bollocks, but brilliant setting. This looks like the same old waste-land shooting hundreds of guys typical gameplay nonsense that has not evolved for several generations other than the underlying tech bringing it into being. Move on and actually progress gaming and the FPS into more mature gameplay, something more engaging, maybe develop real AI and a story which evolves around your actions (as in truly flexible, not a few pre-arranged outcomes based on a handful of key points.)

I dunno, just don't have you going into a room and see a bucket of glinting items on a desk which you magically pick up by pointing the cursor at it, and the endless stream of retarded NPC's rushing at you getting brought down like flies. How about something where you're in a real world setting, with real innocent people making up the majority, a chase through a city centre and you cannot just gun down everyone, in fact you have to be on the ball, know who the enemy is and know you cannot get away with just gunning down everyone.... I dunno, I just fel left very cold by the utter stagnation of gaming pretty much ever since we got into the 3D realm. A few key games have come out and pushed things a litte, meanwhile everyone else continues doing the same as usual and the only way they have moved forward is in scale and graphics and online multiplayer. The single player experiences leave me utterly hollow and unengaged.
