Is there anyway to download these EG videoes instead of watching them via streaming?

The EG TV streaming is not very smooth...

    Beee-yootiful.

Hey, couldn't you find the fire button???

Hold on. That looks suspiciously like a finished game. With still no release date. And EG is being shown it, with nary a hint of a preview or first impressions article despite it being a major game. And Sony have a big announcement on PSN coming with the revamp.

Shamelessly adding 1+1+1 to get 5, I reckon we're gonna get WipEout HD as a flagship release for the new PSN in a couple of weeks.

And to stretch credibility further, I'm going to predict that it'll be a freebee (wasn't it originally touted as a free GT HD type maxi demo before the full PS3 WipEout later in the year?). I'm betting they've realised that it's a AAA proposition, but will make the cash on DLC 2097 tracks later (sold).

    Here's hoping.

    the vid. quality is wanky.

the announcers sound daft tbh, the man at the start sounds like a commentator from a 70's fa cup game. the woman is just annoying, "rock-its hihi ^_o" fu!

    fix it scousers!

that said after playing pulse i want this so fucking badly. this, plus online, big hdtv, surround system playing 444 by autechre non-stop loouuddd and lots of coedine to eat niiiiccceeeeee

    GIMMAR!

I bet they will charge us at least 30 Euros, since development is expensive and the Dollar so weak; or some other sad excuse. If we are lucky we will then get additional tracks for 5 Euros a piece and end up paying at least 100 Euros for content that would have formerly been a 60 Euro game.

It's sad that the resolution of the video is so low and the video has that many artifacts. GametrailersHD is much better in that regard.

I really, really, really want this. Now... please? :)

I'm looking forward to this way more than I did with GT5P (which I'm already pretty bored with because of the low number of tracks). Probably because I've already got plenty of regular racing games, but WipEout on the other hand takes me back to the good old days of '95 where I played the original - and generally had a pretty entertaining year overall if I recall correctly :).

I really hope this is indeed going to be the promised surprise when the new store launches - though with SCEE I'm a little hesitant to get my hopes up. At all.

I don't know if it'll be free, but I do remember the devs saying that this isn't Wipeout PS3. A proper, ground up title is to be developed for the big transition. This is a nice HD makeover of some of the best bits from previous games. Having said that, I've seen the trailer off PSN and it looks bloody good.
