This game is clearly not quite as good as the people who made it think it is.

Clearly? I liked it. One of the better Star Wars games in my opinion. A bit too lacking in the RPG department but then again that is not the point of this game.

Also SPOILERS! BEWARE!

No it's rubbish based on the demo (bad moment in the game to choose?). I'm not going to reiterate my comment from the other thread.

On this interview though, blinded by closeness to project? Trying to portray it as the last great element from the official storyline, explaining the events between episode 3 and 4 seems to suggest that they know something is up with the game itself. The large Star Wars fanbase can't do anything but buy an official component of the story. If this is official though, then Jar Jar Binks is no longer the crappiest moment in Star Wars history.

Or, alternatively, doing marketing for a game pre-release. I mean, what did you expect the chubby little designer to say? Yup, threw 2 years of my life away on an identikit Star Wars-licensed pile of puppy poop and now I'm going to go home and eat ice cream until my weight exceeds my self-loathing?

I'm also not sure I understand your comment about "official". Of course it's "official". Do you have any idea how litigiously George Lucas protects his big money-spinning cash cow's intellectual property?

For the record i am not a massive star wars fan but i am a huge action game fan and Starwars The Force Unleashed is excellent... anyone that says otherwise is wrong and it really is that simple.

The Eurogamer community are THE most negative and jaded bunch of old farts i have ever encountered.

Pregnant with mystery....

What utter nonsense. When you go out into the real world with an attitude like that I guarantee you'll eventually find yourself on the wrong side of an ass whooping!

I loved the demo. I loved it so much I actually replayed it 10+ times, since it's so fun toying with destructible enviro (throwing people into walls that bend in = win). Admittedly, before I mastered the controls it seemd it's shit. It seems shit only if you're not good enough at it though.

And I agree, EG has one of the most cynical and jaded communities around. At least keeps the kiddos away.
