As for the units, it looks like they've taken a step back towards Red Alert in some places, with gun boats instead of Aegis cruisers, but also evolved ideas from Red Alert 2, with what appears to be the new terror drone. Not that this is necessarily a good or a bad thing, although it could make the game feel less like a natural progression of Red Alert 2 and more like a re-imagining of the game in EAs style.
Can't say I'm awfully fond of that new vacuum bomb either, it looks a bit feeble and hopefully isn't a replacement for the nuke, although it looks as though it will be.
And MECHS!? As wacky as the Red Alert series is, I can't help but think that these dont fit in at all. Hopefully I'll be proved wrong, and the new side wont absolutely suck, but right now I be lying if I said I was hopeful.
Naval battles look good though, particularly after the last few C&C games have completely ignored it.
