Exclusive: Ninja Gaiden 2 - Gameplay

i watched a guy demo this bit live at TGS. he died 3 times during the demo (had infinite, respawning health). looks fantastic though.

Geeez. My brain is fried just watching the footage.
Loved the first one and this looks like it improves further on the original. Should be fun! Nice and gory! One for the kids! :P

Looks awesome... vid quality is terrible though. =/

Nah, no sneaking in Ninja Gaiden, and very little seriousness either :D Think you might be thinking of Tenchu. Ninja Gaiden is just balls to the wall action, and hard as nails to boot. I don't think this looks like much of an improvement over the first game from the trailers I've seen, but the first game was awesome, so I don't really mind the apparent lack of progress :)

Is it just me or does the camera seem to be behaving somewhat irratically during the arena fight? Worryig.... The first game's camera was only really sorted out with the Black pack and was terrible to begin with.

The theory behind the game is clearly that more is good. More blood. More Gore. More annoying camera.

Can't wait for the bloodless Euro version!

Is it just me or is this guy crap at playing this... He loses shitloads of health throughout the levels... Still looks awesome regardless (no not the trailer quality).

I really cannot stand their camera solution. As in fuck that's confusing. It's not as confusing when you play yourself but...

It it me or does it look kind of wierd when he moves fast sideways. He kind of floats, should he not be rolling?

The camera really wasn't that bad you wonky-eyed motherfuckers.

Who cares about the camera. Its one of the few true hardcore games left and looks awesome.

This is the SECOND version. What where you expecting?

You can't really tell in this video due to the poor quality, but in screen shots it looks really... plastic. That worries me somewhat.

I didn't have issues with the camera in Sigma so what are you complaining about ?

The first game was too difficult for me (yes, even Ninja Dog mode in NGB), so this just isn't on my radar. I can't be bothered with uber-hard games these days.

Surely if a game was more challenging, wouldn't it be more rewarding when you eventually crack the skull of the last boss or level... Only then to become really bored with the game then trade it in :p
