Brothers and Sisters, it is time we made a stand. As established members of the gaming fraternity we must put an end to rendered footage when what we want is actual in game video. How am I supposed to get excited by this?

I hear ya brother! Its awefull and outdated the engine's used these days are incredable. Even Gears of war did this and the graffix were awesome.

Bloody hell, following the herd of naff 'urban street kid' racing gah...

Smoke makes it look pre-rendered...

particle effects with complex shaders are slowly becoming efficient enough to be run in real time on this gen hardware so I don't see why this has to be pre-rendered.

That's what exclusvie acutally means: "availebel everywhere".
Although it's probably a regional exclusive, wich is an even more hilariouse concept on the internet.

But all that aside, it does look nice. They seem to have dropped the "night time street racer" nonsense and gone for a more "ridge racer/burnout" vibe.
Wich isn't a bad thing although sooner or later either Need For Speed or Burnout is going to be killed off, the franchise are just starting to look to similar.

Erm, why do the cars have stitches? Last time i checked body parts were replacable.

I actually am lookin forward to this. I liked Most wanted, Carbon was ok but not as good as Most Wanted. I hope EA actually gives this one a good story because thats what i felt the series was lackin.

Sorry to ground all of this intellectualism in some sort of useful discussion topic, but I thought the cars look as though they're floating/gliding, as opposed to being on the road. Anyone else get that impression?
