american whine has to tell me very slowly that it's "MAXIMUM armour mode" and "MAXIMUM strength mode". That, and the super-intrusive mode selection (a strength mode key and an armour mode key? NO WAI not consoleish enough!) really grate on me.

The suit voice is hardly noticeable in play, and the suit selection mode is quite intuitive when using a 3 button (with a wheel you can press down) mouse.
Lastly, the suit improves the gameplay. Standard mode 'maximum armour' is always on and the other modes only last for a maximum of 1 minute. You use the suit energy quicker when running or jumping. The maximum strength mode can be very advantageous in getting to high ground and taking up a sniping position, but someone else could easily stealth in behind you and kick you off the ledge.
