It's time for the PC and its bastard cousin to duke it out on the World at War battlefield as our man puts the lossless comparison moves on the two machines.

    These comparisons are REAAAALLLY interesting.. Look, i can spot ONE PIXEL different in one over the other.. Not sure which pixel looks better though...

    *sigh*

    is this what the world of gaming has come to? Being THIS obsessed with visuals rather than gameplay?

    why does every game on the PS3 look worse than it does on the 360 or PC?

    I have to say the graphics are really nice, especially the character animations. Unfortunately the gameplay is so hectic and repetitive thagt you don't notice or care. What a waste...

    These comparisons are perfect for the person who has all platforms and is deciding which one to get.

    Except that 'PC' isn't a consistant standardised platform the way consoles are. Someone with a £2000 PC will see a greatly different video quality to someone playing on a £200 PC.
    What I would like to see is XBOX360 vs PC AT THE SAME PRICE POINT. Now that would be a truer comparison.

    Not rather than gameplay, no. The reviews will discuss the gameplay, these videos are for people who do care about visuals (such as myself). If you don't like them, don't watch them.

    Because the PS3's graphics chip isn't as powerful as the 360's. The platform is also reportedly more difficult to develop for. Although I'm not sure what the PS3 has to do with anything here. The video was a comparison between the 360 and PC games. The PC port is actually quite poor; there's little optimisation and the game was clearly developed with consoles in mind.

    No it wouldn't. That would present a comparison of the 360 versus a relatively poor PC. It's accepted that PC gaming costs more money than console gaming. It's an expensive hobby, and the rewards are greater than those found on (cheaper) consoles. You pay more, you get more. You'll not find a more simple economics lesson.
