Exclusive: BioShock comparison video

Published 4 November, 2008 Duration 1:43

It's not like BioShock has been the centre of enough controversy, what with all the 'greatest story ever written' camp clashing with the 'overrated FPS' fellows. The PS3 release of the Irrational classic is bound to fuel those fires for some time, so we thought we'd fan the flames a little.

why is the ps3 version so blurred ?

It looks as if they've applied some sort of post-processing filter to it. Funny thing is, I can't decide which looks better - the sharper-but-obviously-a-videogame Xbox 360 version, or the burrier-but-more-natural-looking PS3 version.

Either way, the demo of this game left me stone cold and bored, so I'm going to ignore it on PS3 just as I did on Xbox 360.

I actually prefer the PS3 one, but that's a personal preference thing - the 360 version is undeniably crisper and better overall.

Still great on both machines, no excuse not to have it now :)

my picture is better on my tv than an xbox, maybe it cos i got a sony bravia

Given that the comparison won't make me buy an Xbox, I'm still perfectly happy with the PS3 version. Cracking game, if you like that sort of thing.

I am pretty sure that the videos are switched. The 360 video should be where the PS3 is and vice versa. Bacause I have the PS3 version of Bioshock and definately looks sharper and has higher res textures than the 360.

the 360 part of this video seems to be more juggy than the PS3 part. In the PS3 part of this video everything looks more blurry and smother, this is proof that the videos have been switched.

For thi game, normally the Xbox should have the less juggies due to the use of AA, and should be a lil smothier and blurry where as the Ps3 version normally has higher res textures that are more sharper but also has more juggies.

So I am pretty sure that the videos have been switched, this maybe an accidental hickup by eurogamer (like GT did with the GRID video comparisson) or it may have been done deliverately, im not sure wich
