Exclusive: Battlefield Heroes gameplay

I don't like the graphics and animation a bit! I see what they have tried here, but it simply doesn't have the same charm and finesse as Team Fortress 2.

I'm not sure it's going to do that well. The Beta is okay, but not that fantastic. If you play 3 rounds on each of the maps you've seen all it has to offer. The free to play bit is also strange, if you want any nice dress up kit you have to pay. That would be okay but most stuff only lasts a month then you need to buy it again. They had a multi part pirate costume you could buy that was permanent, but to buy all the bits (hat, pants, jacket, parrot) would cost you over £10.

The last update has made a huge improvement to the game, i have little to no lag all the time now on a low end machine on mid graphics, the sounds and hit detection etc have been greatly improved, the gameplay is more fun and with the addition of a 4th map before open beta; it's well on track for being great as a quick fun game to play for a quick break. The Battlefunds items are now have a PERMANENT duration when bought and item prices have changed for the better. All in all with multiple more smaller updates to come before open beta, with the new look site up and running, this game could be set to be a very very big free-to-play shooter across Europe and US.
