Reminds me a little of In the Mouth of Madness (a great John Carpenter movie if you haven't seen it).

I wish people would stop referring to the characters they created as "good friends of theirs" and "someone they've worked with a long time." It's so cheesy.

It's encouraging that he mentions strong atmosphere, mood, and a good story as important parts of the game, but why do I have the feeling that it'll just play as yet another running and gunning game with lots of gore?

Maybe because the story is told by sheets of paper that happen to lie around in the correct order and tell you the stuff you need to know to progress.

That was bad game design even when it was used in Resident Evil, more than ten years ago.

Methinks it is looking promising. A little bit Silent Hill, a little bit AitD 5. Please God let it be more like the former and less like the latter.

Im worried. This does not look all that different to many games released. The Darkness, Silent Hill, Alone in the Dark.

I think it looks pure legend. ^_^ I wasn't hoping for much before, but now it kinda looks like a AAA type of game (for me and gamers of my ilk).

The game sounds great, but I enjoyed watching the hilariously wrong subtitles more than the video. :-D

another zombie-like resident evil/silent hill copy,
screen tearing galore, character models look like gta san andreas quality, clearly sub HD.digital foundry should rip it apart(but we all know they won't:)
shame they dropped the open world PC version and totally killed this game.

looks pretty good, i will hold off from buying it though as i would rather play this on the PC. Fingers crossed it gets released on the PC though, assholes!

You guys are what's trite and hackneyed, not the game.

Sami Jarvi is one of the best writers out there. The first Max Payne had some of the best writing of any video game to date. This will not be another Silent Hill, because the characters won't say retarded things like "must be some kind of child's toy," and he said himself that there would be a "smart story" behind it that gives reason for the horror, which is another thing SH didn't do.

Their methods were more along the lines of "ooh, this would be scary, let's put it in!"

Dosent look bad but alot of the promise seems to be gone. Scraping this as a PC title was stupid.

It's good to see the original "Max Payne" talking there... Just wish he'd lend his likeness to the new Max Payne game rather than that bald, bearded muscle-bound chap.
