The fact that Ellie and that one dude were on the left channel and that other dude was on the right was super-annoying.

And the interview was abysmal. I'd watch MTV if I wanted so see non-interviews with hott new celebz!! like this. Terrible. "What's your favorite experience working on the films?" I honestly couldn't give a toss about that, guys.

See, I'm two steps ahead of you. Not only did I not expect an in-depth discussion on the perils of bringing a new IP to market, but I also did not expect to see an interview with people who have nothing to say on Eurogamer, and worse than that: I didn't expect anyone from Eurogamer would even think that interviewing them would be a good idea.

Shinetop - I normally dont really defend EG much but the "I play games too" argument is a bit weak... difference being they were on stage demoing the game and they are famous figures part of the whole PR campaign for this videogame release.

Was it insightful? No not really. Was it relevant? Yes, if you are fan of the films and are looking forward to the release you may have even found it slightly entertaining... I watched it all the way through just to see what Ellie said(not a big fan of Ellies reviews but her interveiws can be ok when she's not trying to insight console vs console arguments).

Ah come on people lighten up.
It's not as if EG runs out of space "wasted" on this interview (like you could argue with a magazine).

I liked the interview and especially the fact that those guys didn't know what was coming to them.
Probably thought: "Ok a chick from some gaming website no problem. Don't need some PR guy next to us to handle this."
Though I have to say Ellie was still pretty tame.

The only way I could feel worse right now would be if I was the kind of person who gets all white-knighty and feels a need to defend his beloved website/reporter as soon as he sees someone not agreeing with it/her by trying to put down the guy criticising the interview. I mean, that would -really- be pathetic.

Good news Calgon! That wasn't my argument, it was the argument of the people defending the journalistic choice of interviewing the Weasleys. I'm glad you agree with me that interviewing people on a gaming website because they also play games is a weak argument.

Has Ellie done interviews before then? I thought she seemed a bit uncomfortable with the whole thing, and rushed through things as a result. There were some questions that could have been followed up on, or the guys been given more time to go into detail, that might have improved things.

The Debbie McGee, Olsen twins, and fanboi bits were cringeworthy imo.
