Pretty impressed but the Remote Play is the one feature that I really want to see in action. I just hope older games are updated to support it.

I have to say this looks like a very clever piece of kit.
Big screen, wicked features, and it appears to have an aluminium chassis which will make it nice and tough.
Console and games still pricey though.
I'll look again in a christmas or two when the console has either settled in well and there are good bundles, or if there's a unique Final Fantasy version with special paintjob or if the console fails, there'll be good stock reduction prices.

No body has mentioned that a WiFi only Vita and a MiFi connection (google HUAWEI E585) is all you need. I pay £15 a month for 15gig download a month (using 3 network), that's 30times more data than the Vodaphone Vita 3G contract!!

The good news for me is that in work (Swindon), I get 3.5meg download and up to 2meg upload speeds with a decent ping of 100ms, thats good enough for gaming. :)

The Vita looks really great but it's too expensive at the moment and with these harsh economical times I think I'll wait another year. Hopefully it will have dropped somewhat in price by then. Hopefully. Otherwise I'm still enjoying my 3DS.

My local Game had a demo unit this weekend.. A couple of minutes was enough for me to decide to trade in my 3DS and place a preorder. Feels like a real quality piece of kit and the software seems rather good (surprising considering it's Sony!). Deffo going to save myself some pennies though and just get the WiFi model. My phone does tethering and I get unlimited data so don't see the need.

    Bring on release day...

You sday remote play isnt switched on in Europe yet, but I managed to connect my Japanese Vita with my UK PS3 (with UK account) via remote play and played some PS1 games on it without any problem.
