    Memo to EA:

    1) Sack DICE (their heart's not in it)
    2) Make multiplayer run at 60fps.
    3) Tighten up that netcode.

    Ta.

COD is them copying the formula. MOH looks dangerously close to a straight resell of BFBC2 with a campaign made to be more like MW2

So, both worth buying, completely unoriginal military shooters are tonnes of fun.

I want that feeling (no not THAT feeling) I had when I played BF: Vietnam. Not sure if was the music or the environments or what, but I miss it.

MoH's guy doesn't seem very confident in their product, a lot of "hopefully"s. It isn't hard to see why; MoH looks like it is trying to be BC2 and MW2, but inferior to both at the same time. (I think MW2 is crap, but it is superior in the sense that it has a well established fanbase). At the same time the MP looks too much like BC2 and not different enough to have an identity. It has no merit, and seems like it only exists because EA wants to try and take a bite out of MW2's pie.

They are too late to join this game, I think. I used to be a big fan of modern setting shooters, since before BF2. By now, the setting had grown very stale due to over saturation; the same way WW2 was over used and became stale. MW2's crappiness and popularity in spite of that didn't help the issue much.

Black Ops at least has an intriguing premise. MoH's feel like something we've seen before just a few monthes ago. It didn't help that EA keep mentioning "respect for the soldier" when interviewed. Respect is nice, but in no way does it translate into fun for the gamer. It just comes off as a lack of real things to say about the game.

Halo Reach is going to kill both games. FACT indeed. I totally agree. But it isn't going to do it by being the better game. Halo is, and has always been, a pretty average and generic shooter. 1 that was popularized by the new console crowd who had no exposure to the PC fps's at the time. Halo is going to kill both games just be being popular. As it always had.

EDIT: I'm saying Halo games are average. Its popularity and quality are unproportionate. No Halo fan had ever given a valid answer to the question "What is it about Halo that is so good that I haven't already seen in older PC FPS's already?". You ask any Halo fan and the more intelligent ones tell you it has a good story, the usual ones just say "It's Halo" or "So you're saying Halo isn't any good? Cool story bro" as if being Halo automatically makes it good. That's just irrational.

So you're saying the Halo games aren't actually good?

    Okay, bud.

Sounded good, I like a bit of modesty, I think it travels better, the proof is in the pudding. I do not think it is impossible to improve on MW2 or BC2 and I enjoyed both of them.

A couple of days ago, I'd have said MOH no contest. Since then I've seen the videos and read the stuff about the destructible scenery being omitted. Now, I couldn't give a toss. I shan't be bothering with either. Better off sticking with MW2.

    I don't own a 360 and I'd still rather buy Reach.

Consider this...if there was no medal of honor then infintyward would never have existed to create MW2
