And that is a shockingly small wheel, unless ole reggie-boy has giant hands.

I loved Super Mario Kart, but thought MK64 was just okay, and Double Dash was useless. Stopped caring about this franchise a long time ago.

And online multiplayer? Welcome to the 21st century Nintendo.

And yes Ninty is behind the times with the online stuff but they are getting there, being able to play battle mode online is going to Rock!!

So what if Nintendo are only embracing online now, surely it's better to MK online than not?! Or do you perversely want it not to be online?
And it looks like freaking Mario Kart. What did you expect? Resident Evil Kart?
Finally, play the DS Mario Kart if you want a brilliant version of the game,. Arguably it's the best version ever.

2: that wheel looks like a toddlers toy.
3: lol @ at Reggies emphasis of on-line in "REAL TIME"...like there is any other way!

I purely stated that the amazing 'wheel' this guy is parading around looks like something I could make from a cereal packet and that Nintendo are behind the times when it comes to online play

"So what if Nintendo are only embracing online now, surely it's better to MK online than not?! Or do you perversely want it not to be online? "
I think the issue is that Reggie was making it into a big deal when really it shouldn't have to be in this day and age. No one is saying it shouldn't be online, but that doesn't mean Nintendo should be all high and mighty about it, as if they are setting a brand new trend by making an online racing game...
I don't see the big deal about it being online anyway... MK has already been online on the DS: which was absolutely great fun btw(without a doubt my fave MK game as well).
Also, that "peripheral" if you can call it that, seems like a joke, surely I could just hold the Wiimote horizontally and it will have the EXACT same effect :S
However, it seems as if it will be shipping with the game, so I guess it doesn't matter too much.

The reason he keeps mentioning "realtime" is because you were always able to share ghosts with other people, which I guess is kind of a turn based Mario Kart!

Most amused by Reggie's delivery of the online multiplayer announcement. I think it's only shocking news if, like Ninty, you've had your fingers in your ears about online multiplayer for the best part of a decade.

Gameplay and graphics look great judging by that little clip, some excite truck style stunt-age going on there with wario?

He holds up the 'wheel' and waits for a response!
almost as good as the Halo360

I think Nintendo's Western PR is way too serious. Games are fun! Especially Nintendo games. They should have fun music and someone enthusiastic talking about the games, not these melodramatic pauses and uptight serious PR guys. And the tiny wheel ... "Also, you get this tiny wheel! Look how small it is! So that's fun. You can clip it to your wiimote or just use it as a frisbee!"
