E3: LittleBigPlanet - Create

Need 2 votes!

There's been a buzz about LittleBigPlanet which doesn't surround many games. This genre-defying 'community gaming tool' is cute, enthralling and splendidly off-kilter.

Impressive, but looks like the sort of thing that I'll get bored with tooling around myself fairly quickly, but that people with far more patience and skill will do amazing things with.

A genuinely original concept, and top of my wish list.

What'd be really cool is if you could drop your creations into PlayStation Home.

@ Dr Shambles: I think you can upload to PSN or some kind of in-game place where you can dl user created content and upload your own.

I seriously diddnt give a damn till I saw it running.

If a killer app is Defined as the machine selling game then I would judge this to be somewhere between a third and a fifth of a killer app.

Different skins and backgrounds will open it up nicely. I hear sponsored items from publishers are on the way too.

Combined with echochrome and ut3 mods it looks like gamers are finally getting there fists in to making games. I haven't felt this excited about modding and game building since I opened the texture pack of quake 1.
