Without doubt one of the most hotly anticipated games of the show, Killzone 2 has created as much controversy as it has hype. For those of you disappointed by the screens you might have seen so far, have a little look at this.

I get the feeling that it's going to be very closed in, much like Gears. The level looked big, yes, but as soon as they landed in that street it seemed to be a very narrow and funneled path ahead.
Will it be shooting itself in the foot by being released next year though? I mean, by then we could all be talking about the inevitable Gears 2 etc.
Still though, probably the game I'd be most excited about seeing more of on the PS3.

I'd just advise caution before saying anything too drastic -we have long memories here at EG.

Looks superb.

I think that's the point. They're trying to show graphically how close the finished product is to the video two years ago.
Anyway, I know it's easy to make videos look good, but colour me very impressed. I wasn't particularly fond of KZ1 (didn't play Liberation), but I thought the designs and scenario were pretty cool.
They seem to have proper physics here, let's hope the animation is up to scratch, it's not so reliant on rigid set-pieces and the plot is a bit better this time around. It would also be most awesome if the game could run at 60 fps (as part of that video appears to be at the end).
Just moved onto my 'fairly interested' list. Definitely a better trailer than Halo 3, IMO.

Nitty gritty warfare is what I've wanted in a FPS, now it just needs to feel completely unscripted, and it's perfect for me.

It all comes down to gameplay, then. That's a pity, as the original had brilliant art direction, but the gameplay was lacking.

Looks alright, but not worth waxing £400 on though really.

I like this video a lot. Let's hope the gameplay's up to scratch this time around.
