    Looking pretty damn good!

Some nice jungle/forest enviroments in there too. I hope it is more outdoors than in to be honest. That's when Halo shines best.
  • Moonprince #2 5 years ago

Is that all single player? If so, was that another Spartan I saw there?
  • FWB #3 5 years ago

Not trolling, but am I the only one who finds the animation... lame?

'Not trolling, but am I the only one who finds the animation... lame?'

    Yes.
  • Tiiti #5 5 years ago

ok, finally some single player stuff to get excited about. It looks mighty fine :)
  • Devious_Droid #6 5 years ago

Looking good, but I have to agree that the animation is still looking a little stiff.
  • Restart #7 5 years ago

I thought the same about the animations, they really need to sort that out. The rest looks pretty hot though!
  • DUFFKING #8 5 years ago

Why si this not on live yet?
  • Ace_McCloud #9 5 years ago

Agreed on the animations. My first impressions were that some stuff (e.g. the way the grunts moved, reminds me of Halo 1... which isn't a good thing) However, I like the openess of the environments. And looks like the Arbiter is gonna be hanging around with Chief most of the time so hopefully no Arbiter only missions...

    /fingers crossed

I like it... i like it alot
  • PearOfAnguish #11 5 years ago

Um...it looks just like the other Halo's, but with prettier effects and textures. Have they remembered to put a game in there this time or has Bungie worn out the Ctrl, C and V keys again?
  • JoeBananas #12 5 years ago

i hate to say it as I liked the 2 previous games, but it's not looking as good as I thought it was.

The engine looks like the same one used for Halo2, but with higher res textures and geometry count. The actual image quality looks pretty basic.

I'll buy it anyway, but Halo's not the graphical tour de force it once was for me

"Um...it looks just like the other Halo's, but with prettier effects and textures. Have they remembered to put a game in there this time or has Bungie worn out the Ctrl, C and V keys again?"

So you're suggesting that they should completely redo the entire graphical style, change the look entirely?

What the hell else are they going to do FFS?
  • PearOfAnguish #14 5 years ago

"So you're suggesting that they should completely redo the entire graphical style, change the look entirely? "

No, I'm suggesting that it looks just like the previous Halo games and that there is very little worth getting excited about.
  • DUFFKING #15 5 years ago

Perhaps not, but I'm not looking forward to this for the visuals, I'm just looking forward to an entertaining FPS, which I'll surely get. You can never really expect much visual impact from sequels of this nature. With series like Zelda it's different due to a lack of a continuous story.

Ooops, previous post was a little agressive, sorry bout that
  • joeking #16 5 years ago

I just can't stop watching this trailer, it looks mint, Killzone comparisons begone, they're two completely seperate games.

It looks like the gameplay and wide open expanses of Halo 1 are back, which was the main thing for me. Absolutely cannot wait!

Fwiw anyway, in the day that's in it, I think it looks lovely graphically. Solid, sharp, vibrant colours. I reckon it'll look superb on my HDTV, I really do.

In case you haven't already noticed, I'm really looking forward to this one! :)

    >If so, was that another Spartan I saw there?

    Co op?
  • GitSomE_UK #18 5 years ago

Well that's me going sick for a week when this comes out... looking forward to this a LOT!
  • foamy #19 5 years ago

Hmm. Did not watch the whole trailer. Bungie showing single-player bits sux. They should have done like in Halo 2 and people would see the single-player when they bought it.

This is because everyone complained about Halo 3 Beta graphics. Multiplayer uses a revamped Halo 2 engine, the single-player a completely different one. Bleh.

Onward to game release now, pliz.
  • Triggerhappytel #20 5 years ago

Unimpressed. I hated Halo 2 (Campaign), so this has a lot to prove for me.

It just all feels pretentious and slightly laughable. I don't really like the alien designs any more - they are still different and definitely stand out, but not really in a good way.
  • Moonprince #21 5 years ago

Ah, it was the bit where some dude was hanging beyond a fence off some kind of enemy. Having downloaded it on the 360 its a bit more clear - I was seeing things.

Was thinking it would be nice to see some of those Spartans from the book - not that I've read them all so not sure if the remaining few live or not...
  • BobsYourUncle #22 5 years ago

Pretty sure I saw the arbiter working with Master Chief then. Should be good, nice trailer.
  • Iora #23 5 years ago

colour me not impressed. Halo = genius, Halo2 = meh, Halo3 = overhyped.

Proof is in the gameplay and all that so ill await a nice demo or a friend buying the game before I commit.
  • RandolphScott #24 5 years ago

    Why would they release this?

I'm sure Halo 3 is good but this makes it look rubbish. Terrible keyboard synth music, bad cuts and choice of action...

    Wow.
  • marilena #25 5 years ago

Am I the only one who thought the music in the trailer really sucked? I watched the GTA 4 trailer a few times just for the music, I can't say the Halo 3 one will have the same effect.
  • Amazing Bryan #26 5 years ago

So many people are going to get a 360 for this game alone. Let the good times roll.
  • huxathon #27 5 years ago

Never been a halo fan really, and this does nothing to change my mind. Co-op was fun in previous versions but it would have been great in a better game. Still, this is going to sell loads anyway.

The animation is a bit weird isn't it? Puppety.
  • vane101 #28 5 years ago

  • Scump #29 5 years ago

errr...i think i may have over hyped this...even on hd it looks average. Looks only people! thats all im talking about obviously not gameplay. But i still remain reserved...altho i did say that about halo two. Doh...

    the music is terrible.
  • Smugglarn #31 5 years ago

The music is indeed terrible and so are the animations and the physics.
  • Lukus #32 5 years ago

I love the music. The animations are ok, though not Gears standard. As for the physics, how the fuck would you possibly know they're terrible without playing it?
  • bengray66 #33 5 years ago

Oh i forgot you lot, Graphics really do MAKE THE GAME dont they.
    /sarcasm

Look at Fallout 1 & 2, still amazing to this day, but look shit. Zelda Ocarina of time - possible one of the best games of all time, shit graphics.

Get off your bloody graphic horses and remember that the primary feature of any game should be the way it plays, not the way it looks........
  • gingerlink #34 5 years ago

I still think it looks great, but my graphics bar is pretty low, I think SSX blur looks swish...
  • HPssauce #35 5 years ago

I cant wait, need some tweeks here and there but its looking good- hopefully a better storyline than Halo 2 it was terrible the only good thing was the covenant civil war. They should of used the new mombasa trailor which bungie released before Halo 2 came out- way better . Still, the multiplayers goin to make up for it.
