E3: Gran Turismo 5: Prologue - Trailer

Need 3 votes!

GT5: Prologue is really actually only a PSN demo of what to expect from the full game, but it is looking fairly accomplished already. We're not sure what the shots of the theatre are all about though.

Impressive graphics, but unless it's got a load of hairy legendary racing cars in it I'm not bothered really.

That opening bit was FMV, wasn't it?

Aside from that, it looks like business as usual, but prettier.

@tobi

I'll doubt you'll see HD trailers using Flash until Adobe get their arse into gear and implement some up-to-date video codecs. Compare the quality of these vids to those distributed in Windows Media or Quicktime format to see what I mean.

Does the sixaxis have analogue triggers or are you still pressing a button to go fast and another to slow down?

(that kinda spoilt GT4 for me)

It has analogue triggers. Of course you could always use the right stick to accelerate and brake, just like in GT3/4.

Gametrailers.com already has it's flash trailers in HD, so it is already possible.
But it probably costs a hell of lot bandwith.

Well it sounds like Polyphony have finally implemented decent engine sound effects.
I'm not the only one who thinks all the cars sound like hairdryers in previous instalments right?

Some of those, especially one of them, engine samples do not match what the car is doing. Me thinks someone added audio after the video footage was recorded... Maybe.
