    Holy moly! want want want.
  • Weezer #5 3 years ago

Wow! Most exciting bit of Star Wars ever. Wonder what the game will be like...
  • qoobah #6 3 years ago

Indeed. I'd very much want to see some gameplay though. Especially the gameplay combat, which I fear might end up being "I fling through you you fling through me" knowing the MMO technical limitations.
  • mexalen #7 3 years ago

awesome! if the gameplay could match that...
  • Triggerhappytel #8 3 years ago

Brilliant FMV; probably more interesting than any part of the prequel trilogy.

However, clearly the game itself will be nowhere near as exciting as this.

    Awesome FMV.

    Just a shame it's still a god-damn MMO.
  • hiddenranbir #11 3 years ago

Too bad the game will not have scenes looking as good as that.

Not unless they have the combat choreography super perfect.

For people wanting gameplay, it's being shown off with 1Up today and GameSpot tomorrow. This was literally just a teaser - there will be some substance to the conference as well for TOR.

    Also, do want. ^_^
  • ZuluHero #14 3 years ago

    Lovely.

And to the "shame its an mmo" crowd. This sounds like it could be very story driven, more akin to single player RPGs. But instead of meeting other NPC heroes to bolster your party numbers (in typical RPG fashion), you meet real people. And they join your party instead.

Guild Wars succeded in doing this, i can't see why bioware can't also.
  • sifujames #15 3 years ago

Looks better the anything from the prequels. Shame it bares no relevance to how the actual game will play
  • ashleyrb #16 3 years ago

Think this is going to be the first MMO where I'm actually going to roll an evil character. The Sith are so much more badass than the Jedi.
  • Climhazzard #17 3 years ago

goddamn, really wanted the jedi to kick his ass there, damn sith, im going jedi all the way.
  • Slabbathepave #18 3 years ago

    All very pretty and exciting.

...but all said and done one of them should have tanked.
  • SFG_Clan #19 3 years ago

Shows potential but theres no way in hell an MMO will be like at the moment

It looks good and im not a particular MMO fan, but maybe it can win over with a good story and community

Why couldn't Bioware have made the second trilogy?

  • chudders #22 3 years ago

It's so awesome, I just can't help but watch it over and over again.
  • Kyle #23 3 years ago

Can we get Bioware to redo the prequel trilogy please?
  • Freek #24 3 years ago

Wow, if the only the new trilogy was this cool.
  • Triggerhappytel #25 3 years ago

Can I just say that I seriously doubt it was BioWare who actually produced this FMV themselves. It was probably a specialist studio contracted out by LucasArts (or possibly EA).
  • thesnowman #26 3 years ago

If this was a trailer for KOTOR 3 I would have just wet myself, but since it is a MMO I just cant get excited. I dont really get MMO, but I also now have 2 kids and just dont have the time to devote to a MMO. If I was still single then I might give this a go, I love KOTOR so much.
  • Lamont #27 3 years ago

If you don't like MMO then just play the game for the amount of time you would usually play the single player and then move on. I don't think I've ever seen such whining...ever. I'm ecstatic it's an MMO so I can play more than a few weeks and then have to move on to Gears of War 3 or whatever.
  • Kyle #28 3 years ago

To be fair to him, Lamont, thesnowman has a point. MMOs typically take a lot of dedication to get the most out of them. It's all well and good saying "play the game for the amount of time you would usually play the single player", but what if that is 8-10 hours? It's not really long enough to get the game properly rolling.

From what I know about this, it's going to be more story driven, right? So hopefully, you won't have to rely on others too much unless you want to, which will hopefully mean it's a game you can dip in and out of quite easily.
  • StixxUK #29 3 years ago

Spectacular CGI, wonder what the game's like.
  • Ste105 #30 3 years ago

I taught there were never more than two Sith, a Master and an apprentice ? WTF
  • Triggerhappytel #31 3 years ago

"I taught there were never more than two Sith, a Master and an apprentice ? WTF"

It depends how you look at it. According to the books, Palpatine had many apprentices; most of them secret assassins.

Also, I am assuming Sith 'graduate' like Jedi do, in which case there's nothing to suggest some of these in the ship hadn't previously been apprentices before becoming Sith themselves and taking on their own apprentices.
  • Sharzam #32 3 years ago

  • BravoGolf #33 3 years ago

Wow, awesome trailer. I wish we had a CGI movie like that.

"I taught there were never more than two Sith, a Master and an apprentice ? WTF"

The rule of two was'nt put into place till after darth bane killed the rest of the sith (because the stronger would be killed allot, by a group of lower ranked sith. therefore weakening the sith in the long run. so Darth Bane was the one who started it all (tho I believe there was a few other old sith lords who thought very alike before darth bane's time, but their apprintaces went the cowards way of safty in numbers and so on.(not so smart for the sith cause they always like to kill eachother to get better rank. smart way for the jedi cause they actualy stick by the rules, "mostly". (If you want some more info on darth bane get the book on him, its called "Darth Bane the rule of two" aslo i belive thats the second book but i forgot the name of the first. well in anycase, thats about it.

p.s. Trigger happy. after the rule of two took place, as yoda said "there can only be two, no more no less." wich basically meens that when the apprintace graduates or at least so he can graduate he must kill his/her master to become the sith lord and when they become the sith lord than they can take an apprintace for his/herself. but before the rule of two took place as you can see the numbers of sith are many wich meens before it took place, the the sith graduated slightly like the Jedi but with differant rules and they still loved to kill eachother o.o

also palpatines assasins were trained but i think they all had their force powers blocked, the only one i think was'nt, was Mara.

so many times I've edited this thing O.O

Oh man, oh christ-licking jizz loving man! That was pretty awesome
  • Nocturne #37 3 years ago

It's an impressive trailer, but I have no interest in this. I didn't purchase, play, and enjoy KOTOR I & II because I wanted to be around real people.

If Bioware are interested in making money, then they should just make KOTOR 3, because they could charge 3 times as much as every other game, and I would still seriously consider buying it.
  • sirtacos #38 3 years ago

It's hard to remain skeptical when a short cinematic for a Star Wars videogame makes me more excited than I ever remember being for any of the movies.
  • Load_2.0 #39 3 years ago

    Damn, that is hawt!
  • creepylizard #40 3 years ago

they should have just made a film instead of some rubbish online game...
