Your video description says that "X" was the last attempt at an online FF game, even though it was actually "XI" ...

FFXIV looks like a return to the style of the older FF games, which is awesome :)

Wow... So much bullshit hype in so little time. Does anyone care about these prerendered cutscenes anymore? Does anyone even *notice* them? It's just something to skip when firing up the game. I turn them off on any game that allows it. Does Square think this will impress anyone? They're totally delusional if they believe that some faux-epic video will convince players that the level-grinder with the slow, boring combat they're playing is somehow exciting.

They say that FFXIII will feature combat more like the cutscenes. I'll believe it when I see it.

Prerendered cut-scenes add some feeling to the game. Besides I'm sure that the reason for showing this, instead of real game-play footage, was because they wanted to announce Final Fantasy XIV. There is still a long way to go before the game is released, so I'm sure they'll want to hype the game at a later stage.
