There is no EVE for PS3 (as far as anyone knows) the idea is that this game takes place on the planets and perhaps orbital platforms of the EVE universe, and the outcomes of these battles affect sovereignty or resource provision in the broader EVE experience overseen by the spaceship types on the PC.

As a non-PS3 owner, I am jealous.

Unless it turns out to have its own subscription, then I'm a bit less jealous.

No subscription, all expansions are free, there are micro-transactions, though.

Ive all ways wanted to experience the Eve Universe, but the MMO has always been so daunting to me, perhaps this game will allow me to experience it at last, looks great.

That bit at 1:23 when the camera zooms into orbit and keeps zooming back is a genuine wow moment, even though I knew all about Dust and EVE. I'm betting they'll sell at least a couple copies on that moment alone.

Crucially on that link you posted, it mentions that anything bought via micro-transactions or in-game economy can be re-traded for ISK in game to other players. Now that is interesting.

Being an EVE player as well as FPS-lover I can't wait till launch day. My corps will be ready to recruit fresh PS3 meat.
If you've got a bit of an idea about the scale of EVE and the storyline as well as the (NPC) corporations and alliances you can only see good things come from DUST 514. So many planets moons and station, so many to conquer.
