love the familiar music at the end, unfortunately that seems to be the only part which does feel familiar, the voice is different, the character design is different, and the low polygon normal mapped graphics look like something from the Doom3->Prey era.

Still, it's the duke!

What does the trailer reveal about the concept? It could be a side-scrolling MMORPG at this point.

I was always thought of Duke as a cartoon like character, would rather have seen a Team Fortress 2 graphical style.

They'd better do a good job sending up the macho fps, otherwise it's a failure in my book.

Different voice? Different character design? Have you even played Duke3D?

The graphics seem fine to me (and hell, you can't really use a teaser trailer as an example of final graphical quality). I'm much more interested in whether 3DREALMS have retained the fun locations and over the top action of the original.

The laminated head of young Bruce Willis playing Max Headroom, on young Schwarzenegger's body. This chimera should never have been created. I could ignore it when it was only in 800x600 in the Build engine, but eurgh. I feel sick.

It looks dated not because of the gfx (which does look dated), but the whole style.

intreeged to see what it looks like in game, from that they seem to be trying for a styleised slightly cartoony look, not sure i'm digging it at the mo though.

Plus i'm not going to hold my breath for this actually coming out!!

Yea yea. Does it even matter how duke looks? Its a freaqing FPS! FIRST PERSON - means you won't see him for more than 99% of the time! SHOOTER - Means you'll be killing the other freaqs wich are ALIENS. Why the f*** would I care if they have 10 polygons more or less? And don't worry. Even if HAS a 'doom3 era' look, maybe you should run doom3 a bit - even if it isnt revolutianary anymore, it still looks better than 50% of the released titles these days. I aint no fan, i'm just saying that duke was kickass cous of the chicks, the humor, the locations, the one liners. You 15 year old graphic wh**es & joypad f*gs are never gonna get that. He's the ultimate alien a** kicker... what else do you want from poor old Duke?
