The road to this frosty mountain shrine is fraught with danger. Danger and slightly awkward dialogue.

I think it's Eurogamer's media player than makes it jerky!!!

I can't imagine how the trailer could be any less representative of the game (real time rpg with pause, not turn based btw) but it is rather spiffy to watch.

From where I am sitting this game certainly isnt that.

Dragon Age: Origins employs the latter, as far as I know. It'll be similar to Neverwinter Nights (which is similar to Baldur's Gate) in that aspect. You'll also be able to pause the game to assign actions to your character and/or the NPCs in your party.
Also, +1 to hiddenrabir. Half the videos are atrocious, half of them require me to change my pants.

Newsflash: pretty much all games are incoherent tripe. Might as well delete the term "fantasy" from your statement and stop gaming altoghether, or continue deluding yourself that scifi/action/whatever game you currently play is not incoherent tripe.

My point is that I would have loved this as an action RPG (which is what the trailer looks like) but as a D&D inspired RPG I'm not sure I'm interested. I had a hard time coming to terms with Neverwinter Nights 2, which I also happen to think is turn based.
