    Looks more like Diablo 2.3

    Haters gonna hate ->
  • makeamazing #2 2 years ago

Looks great to me, been waiting for a modern day version of Diablo for ages.

Not really shocking, but looks like a nice addition. I also gathered from this video that they wont incorporate something like the dog mechanic to do the selling for you, which is unforntunate. You still need to get back to town every time your bag is full. The salvaging seems to help though.

This and Gran Turismo 5 and that'll be me set for the next 2 years.

    I positive'd Spekkeh instead of negging, ner-ner-ner!
  • spekkeh #6 2 years ago

I miss the chapter "Duping", since that was what us kids were doing most during Diablo 1.

Me: Hello, I am a hero who is here to save the world.
Blacksmith: Oh great, we need someone to destroy
Me: I need a better weapon so i can kill the creatures threatening your town.
    Blacksmith: That'll cost you 30000gp
Me: I don't have that kind of money, but it will be used to save you and your family.
    Blacksmith: That'll cost you 30000gp
Me: I'm SAVING YOUR FRIKKIN TOWN!
    Blacksmith: That'll cost you 30000gp
Me : How come i can kill dragons, but the fecking Blacksmith who has the awesome weapon i need, nope, can't injure him.

My Favourite was Diablo 2, when you ended up in some kind of Astral plane, where the angels wanted you to defeat the demon lord or all of hell would win... Oh, that sword... 2,000,000gp!...But.....

Another layer of addictiveness. \o/ And looks absolutely lovely to me.

If that's possible at all, I am looking forward to Diablo 3 more than ever after the polished monster game that is SC2. (campaign, challenges, achievements that make you play differently)

hope everyone that wants this has preordered with Amazon for £23. Disc is PC and Mac - good news for me! Now to find a cheap copy of starcraft 2..
  • yoomazir #11 2 years ago

Was that a new class at the end of the video? or maybe it's the monk with a weapon & shield...

Wonder how much grind there will be getting to the top tier of items. Blizzard can't offer you the lot on a plate - then where would the replayability be?
  • Zaiz #13 2 years ago

The replayability is going to be in four difficulty modes, hardcore, all that fun stuff. Plus a strong online component.

Good, the less there is between me and killing kobolds the better.

Coming to a PC near you in 2016, give or take a couple of years. Assuming GT5 makes it November release, I foresee that Diablo III is going to become the next victim of release date jokes.
Or maybe not - after all there won't be several million XBox 360 fanboys ready to take potshots at Blizzard :).
  • mrStones #16 2 years ago

So any word on a release date yet? How many years has it been now since blizzard first dangled the barbarin gameplay video infront of our eyes and then left us hanging while they all went back into hiding.
Feel like i should just ignore this when it comes out in favour of games with belivable release periods like Torchlight II but who am i kidding, of course i'm gonna buy D3, it'll be epic and i'll prob still be firing it up years later just like number 2.

But can't shake that feeling i'll prob be long finished Torchlight IV before this. At least the starcraft fans seem happy enough with their sequal

Exactly 2 years. Not all that much, really, although going by some of the comments, you'd think it was revealed in 2002.
  • Dave #18 2 years ago

Since they already have SC2 and Cataclysm this year, I think they just delayed D3 to give it more time for polish and have something to release next year too. So my bet is on a June/July release, same as SC2 this year.

This video doesn't really show much, but any video just makes me more anxious to get my hands on it :) I really hope it's playable at Gamescom.
  • SpaceDreamer #19 2 years ago

This game is going to be double rainbow.
  • mrStones #20 2 years ago

    Fair enough.

Felt longer but i didn't realise it had only been two years, but then again "only" and "two years" are words i rarely use together.

Given that we probably will not see this game until 2012 I'm just not able to get excited about anything Blizzard shows and I'm not a WOW junkie either.

Wake me when they have a release date!
