I love how PC gamers declare that the PC is this unstoppable superforce every 2 years when one or two new games come out... it's funny :D
  • adiiii2003 #7 4 years ago

im not declaring nothing...im just happy that the pc gaming is not dying

ps: im a console gamer to...so no fanboy here :)
  • Lim-Dul #8 4 years ago

God, is the music annoying... Tries so hard to be epic...

Also, it seems that Diablo is becoming more and more complicated. The times where it was a simple button masher, which made it so popular in the first place, are long gone. That's sad because I didn't quite like Diablo II for this very reason.

Maybe the mousepointer is confusing you, or the Windows/Mac announcement.

Looks awesome, can't wait now >.

If it was any other publisher, then the reviews would read that the world does not need another diablo clone and slamm the games into the ground.

But if Blizzard releases a game in which all you do is to leftclick some stuff and grind away then it's the second coming. Graphics aside, that game looks terribly old, and cutscenes in little boxes are totally SuperNintendo.

seems like WoW with a different camera angle to me, maybe im being too harsh
  • Tzetrik #19 4 years ago

Why is everyone so excited by this? It looks amazingly average.

Seeing how WoW is firmly rooted in Diablo 2, that's not all that surprising. Though you got it the wrong way round.

Why is everyone so excited by this? It looks amazingly average.

Well, do you like Diablo? For many people it is one of the best games ever made, so I am not sure where your surprise about the excitement comes from.
  • Farfarer #21 4 years ago

I wasn't particularly excited about this... but after that video I have to say I am :)
  • SentientNr6 #22 4 years ago

When diablo II came out it looked average too. But it's gameplay was fantastic and execution near perfect. Ever played Titan Queest? It had a great engine but average gameplay. I know what I prefer.

Well, that is understandable because Blizzard is the creator of Diablo. The game set benchmark, hence why so many games are called "Diablo Clone".

The same applies to GTA and "GTA Clones".

    Get over it.

Methinks it looks fandabidozee! Loved 1 and 2, so will defo get this (although may have to wait for my oft-delayed GPU upgrade).

Looking at this vid made me think back to 1 and 2, but have to say, made me think of Spartan: Total Warrior, too, but with extra depth. Which is a very good thing :-)

Also, re: music. Yeah, sounds a bit too orchestral and epic - maybe it's there to stop you from thinking you're a greengrocer throwing cabbages on the floor? I swear, if you filter out the music, all that death-dealing sounds like Gordon making the motherlode of sauerkraut. Just saying...

fuckme the way you write is dull :/

Negative individuals can go stain another site please, this was a great game on pc. I hope they release a 360 version too as I fear I might be forced to upgrade my computer as I certainly will not miss out. I cannot see what difficulties they would have in bringing it to consoles anyway, we shall see, either way I'll play it. Also we waited for years for this, it's nice to see they haven't gone all 3D or FPS as it would have made a different game, the music contributes to a great atmosphere, try take that out of any horror film and see what you get ! Can't wait....

    MASSIVE DAMAGE

    lol!
  • bit_mite #29 4 years ago

Watching this reminded me how long its been since the last isometric viewpoint RPG! Then I remembered Baldur's Gate, and wondered if anyone could ever remake that game with graphics and art this good. Then a little bit of sex wee came out :S

Anyways, Diablo III looks fantastic. I just hope the RPG elements are solid... and that I comes out on 360, cos there's no way my PC will run this, and no way I can afford a new one :(
  • Buztafen #30 4 years ago

Amazing, can not wait! Think im gonna have to play throught the first and second again in the coming weeks. Looks nigh on finished to me too. Just release it now Blizzard, fuck waiting!!!

Diablo 2 was one of the most addictive games ever loved it. Just wish i had a pc that would run new games because im blatantly gonna have to get this!
  • Buztafen #32 4 years ago

A PC for running this wont be that expensive, just around 100 notes for a medium dual core processor, 50 for 2gigs of DDR2 ram, 60 for a semi decent mobo, 150 for a 8800GTX graphics card and 4000 for a 50" screen and semi decent surround system to play it the way its meant to be played......hang on a minute i'll get mi calculator!
  • Biggles #33 4 years ago

Blizzard are pretty good at keeping system specs down and making up for it with the art direction, so I doubt you'll need to splash out for this one.

Also wasn't really that excited by this until actually seeing it. My only wish would to have a little bit more nethack style depth, like unidentified potions and experimentation etc, but I doubt it'll happen.

He's said you can play it with just the mouse. What exactly are you complaining about? The different moves? The types of enemies? Depth =/= complexity.
  • TexMurphy01 #35 4 years ago

    Definitely impressive.
