I used to love the original, but mainly because you could upgrade your car and put different weapons on it (that was a huge novelty in 1989), I recall the racing model was pretty shonky even by the standards of the day.
This new one will probably have the same problem, the only problem is that being able to modify vehicles is hardly a USP in 2008.
