I know it's hard to represent the game properly in a few minutes, but they kept saying "sandbox" and all I saw was a shootout in an atrium. Are we to believe you could be elsewhere when this is happening? They should show more scale to separate this game from very similar titles that already exist or are coming out soon. As it is now, this looks like Halo: Big Apple.

Yes, but, Grand Central is a terminal - not a station...

Is interesting to see how things that improved the realism in Crysis as taking the weapons and ammunition with your own hands are gone, plus the total absence of the sensation that you're making tactical choices with the suit powers, like if all the skills -aside the now useless cloak- were active at the same time.

I like Crysis and Warhead a lot, but all the Crysis stuff to date loks like a mesh in both gameplay and visuals compared to the first one, except maybe in the incresaed variety of enemies. I cross my fingers for the multiplayer -that will be pictured this week at the GamesCon- due is the only part that keeps my interest.

    Sandbox, sandbox, sandbox

Ummm all I see is a typical boss level. A large room you can run around. That's not a sandbox.

    @dragonlion

It's a PC trailer (look under the title)... so we have to assume this is on a PC.

Aren't those button prompts from the 360 controller though?

Yay...Crysis gets dumbed down for the fisher price toy console kiddies, and we end up with a game that looks worse than the first game from 3yrs ago...how is that progress...?

Oh i do love these museum piece DX9 console pieces of shit...............roll on PS4 and New Xbox....

These guys just get it when it comes game design in FPS games.
  • PearOfAnguish #13 2 years ago

"and we end up with a game that looks worse than the first game"

What nonsense are you talking? It in no way looks worse than Crysis or Warhead.

@9 - The fact that it's been labeled "PC Trailer" by Eurogamer doesn't mean that we are looking at the PC version. Actually, there are Xbox 360 pad buttons on screen so it's just likely that we are, in fact, looking at the 360 one.
  • Buran #15 2 years ago

^ Looks worse. Fortunately this is only the 360 version, but I bet my heart that looks worse than unmoded Crysis/Warhead with settings maxed in DX 9. I have faith in the PC version due the new global lightning system, the deferred rendering and so, but THIS vid doesn't look better than the previous Crysis games in my computer.

"Actually, there are Xbox 360 pad buttons on screen so it's just likely that we are, in fact, looking at the 360 one."

And it's just as likely it's the PC version being played with a 360 pad.

Can they please stop pretending this is innovative, that could be any scripted sequence in many games, but apparently it's "choreographed sandbox" that noone else has done...really? Have you not played FPSs since Doom?

If they'd told me it was a really slick FPS with cool stuff and not the 'ultimate supersoldier experience' i might have bought this game but instead I will refrain as I'm fairly sure the devs spend time mastarbating over how many polygons they've got in the game and how many guns they've got.

Well, during E3 they showed the same video and claimed it was running on a xbox 360, but then it crashed on a windows 7 desktop. Yes, LOL!

I imagine it is the same case here. Don't worry, though, console fans, I'm sure it will look great on your home boxes as well.

I loved the original Crysis and I'm sure this one will be great as well.
