I'd like to see more of the "procedural destruction".

By 'Next-Gen ready', I wonder if they mean this generation of consoles or the 'next' generation?

Natural environments looked stunning, but the corridors and building shots looked current gen. Very nice, but not a huge leap if this is for next-gen systems.

The next gen consoles are gonna be scary in what they can do.
We are reaching a point when literally imagination will be the only limit.

next Gen = DX11 on PC. The best looking shots are the PC ones.
X360 and PS3 sections (clearly marked) are impressive with the exception of the "rich interiors" sections. Ready to Cripple your Shiny Core i7 and crossfired 5870's?

Make no mistake, this is the best technology can offer today, and Crytek will continue advancing in leaps, but their games are incredibly shallow from an artistic standpoint.

And hardly anyone else employs their engine(s) due to its (or their) narrow accessibility. If they widened the range of graphics it can produce and optimised it better, it would become the engine of choice.

In fact, I think this is what the future of the gaming industry will be like. Costs of producing an engine will continue to rise, and there will be companies that specialise in them, while game developers buy those that fit their needs.

more companies need to use this tech. I'm sure people can create all sorts of different games out of it.

Everyone uses unreal at the moment, probably because it's been around so long and Unreal Tournament was a great game. The Crytex engine needs a great game to really get it into the hands of people. The FarCry and Crisis games were only good because the engine was so amazing.

And I'm sure this is scalable to next gen. If not, it will be by the time next gen comes around.

The editor looks like a huge usability improvement over the one that came with FarCry. Perhaps they've put a larger effort into making the engine easier to develop for.

Hopefully, would love to see more games use this over UnrealEngine.

Unless of course, Epic showcases UE4 and it happens to be leaps and bounds ahead of UE3.

Meh I say. Their CryEngine 2.0 barely got used and that is still the most powerful engine available...
